Rose fought Carla Esparza in April 2015 to win the Women's Strawweight Champion. Rose won the bout via technical knockout in just 3 minutes after the start of the round. It was the first women to compete to win a title in any major promotion worldwide. Namajunas continued to have many more victories, including two victories over Joanna Jedrzejczyk that earned her Performance of the Night from UFC.
